Sublimation

Dye-sublimation heat transfer printing, ink transitions from solid to gas at 350-420 °F and infuses into polyester fibre at the molecular level, producing permanent, crack-free, photo-quality prints.

Sublimation Overview

Sublimation Department

Dye-sublimation printing uses extreme heat (350-420 °F) and pressure to transition specialised inks from solid directly to gas, skipping the liquid phase entirely. The heated ink vapour penetrates polyester fibres which soften slightly under temperature, allowing the dye to bond at the molecular level. Because the colour is infused into the fibre rather than applied on top, sublimation prints will not crack, fade, or peel under normal washing conditions.

Our setup supports both transfer printing (design first printed on coated transfer paper, then heat-pressed onto fabric) and direct-to-textile sublimation for higher-volume runs. The process is ideal for all-over print bedding, decorative cushion covers, sportswear panels, flags, and any application requiring photographic-quality imagery with unlimited colour capability on polyester or poly-blend fabric.

Equipment & Capabilities

The core machinery and technology powering our sublimation operations.

Sublimation Printers

Wide-format inkjet printers using specialised sublimation inks, designs printed onto coated transfer paper as mirror images of the final output.

Heat Press Calenders

Industrial calender presses operating at 350-420 °F with precision pressure control, sublimating ink from transfer paper into polyester fibre in a single pass.

Colour Management System

ICC profiling and spectrophotometer-based colour matching for accurate, repeatable reproduction across production runs.
