Continuous Dyeing
Thermosol pad-dry-cure dyeing line achieving 75-90% dye utilisation, fabric is padded, pre-dried at 80-90 °C, and thermofixed at 160-210 °C for permanent colour fixation in a single continuous pass.
Continuous Dyeing Department
Our continuous dyeing line uses the Thermosol process, a method based on mechanical adsorption of dye onto fibre through four defined stages. Fabric is first immersed in the colour bath and squeezed through a foulard at known pressure to control dye pick-up. Pre-drying follows at 80-90 °C to increase dye diffusion over the fabric. Then thermosetting at 160-210 °C fixes the dye permanently into the fibre. The process achieves excellent dye utilisation of 75-90%.
The line supports both Pad-Dry-Pad-Steam (PDPS) and Pad-Dry-Cure (PDC) configurations, handling reactive dyes on cotton and disperse dyes on polyester and blended fabrics. Automated dosing and recipe management systems ensure precise dye formulation, while inline spectrophotometers monitor shade in real time, maintaining batch-to-batch consistency across long production runs.
Equipment & Capabilities
The core machinery and technology powering our continuous dyeing operations.
Padding Mangle (Foulard)
Fabric immersed in dye bath and squeezed at controlled pressure through the foulard, determining the exact amount of dye deposited on the textile.
Infrared Pre-Dryer
IR drying unit bringing fabric to 80-90 °C, the pre-drying stage increases dye diffusion across the fabric before thermofixation.
Thermosol Oven
Heat treatment chambers operating at 160-210 °C where the dye is permanently fixed into the fibre, the critical thermosetting stage of the process.
Wash Range
Multi-stage washing units for removal of unfixed dye and finishing chemicals, ensuring the final fabric will not bleed or fade in use.
Production Process
How material moves through our continuous dyeing department, from start to finish.
Dye Preparation
Dye recipe formulated and dispensed through automated dosing systems.
Padding
Fabric passed through dye bath and squeezed through mangle for uniform pick-up.
Drying & Curing
Fabric dried and cured at controlled temperature for dye fixation.
Washing & Finishing
Multi-stage washing to remove unfixed dye, followed by softening and drying.
Shade Verification
Spectrophotometer readings compared against approved standard for shade approval.
