Digital Printing

Inkjet-based digital printing directly onto fabric using reactive inks for cotton and disperse inks for polyester, unlimited colours, no screen costs, and environmentally efficient with minimal ink waste.

Digital Printing Overview

Digital Printing Department

Digital textile printing uses inkjet technology to apply colourings directly onto fabric, no screens, no engraving, no minimum repeat constraints. We run two ink systems: reactive inks for cotton, linen, and cellulosic fabrics, where dyes form a strong covalent bond with the fibre producing vivid colours with excellent fastness; and disperse inks for polyester and acetate, where low-soluble dye particles are dispersed in water and adsorbed into the fibre under high-temperature steaming.

Both processes follow a similar workflow: fabric is pre-treated for optimal ink adhesion, printed by industrial inkjet heads, steamed at high temperature for dye fixation, and washed to remove surplus colour. The result is a print that will not fade during subsequent washing. Digital printing is environmentally efficient with minimal ink waste and water usage compared to conventional screen methods, ideal for designer collections, sampling, and short-to-medium production runs.

Equipment & Capabilities

The core machinery and technology powering our digital printing operations.

Industrial Inkjet Printers

Wide-format digital textile printers with high-speed heads supporting both reactive ink (cotton/cellulosic) and disperse ink (polyester) printing.

Pre-Treatment Unit

Fabric pre-treatment line applying coatings optimised for each ink type, ensuring proper absorption, colour depth, and sharp print definition.

Steamer & Wash Line

High-temperature steamer for dye fixation followed by multi-stage washing to remove surplus colour, ensuring prints that will not fade in subsequent washing.

Production Process

How material moves through our digital printing department, from start to finish.

01

Pre-Treatment

Fabric treated with coating for optimal ink absorption and colour depth.

02

Colour Profiling

Design files colour-managed with ICC profiles for accurate reproduction.

03

Printing

High-resolution inkjet printing directly onto fabric at production speed.

04

Post-Treatment

Steaming for dye fixation, washing to remove excess ink, and final drying.

05

Quality Check

Colour accuracy, sharpness, and fastness tested against approved standards.
