LAB

In-house testing laboratory performing 20+ test parameters, colour fastness (wash, rub, light), tensile and tear strength, GSM, shrinkage, pilling, and AQL-based pre-shipment inspections.

LAB Overview

LAB Department

Our in-house laboratory performs a comprehensive range of physical, chemical, and colour-fastness tests at every stage of manufacturing. Key test parameters include: colour fastness to washing, rubbing, perspiration, and light; tensile strength (the maximum load fabric can support without breaking); tear strength; seam slippage; GSM (fabric weight, a carpet may require 1,300 GSM while a robe uses 160 GSM); shrinkage; dimensional stability; pilling resistance; and phenolic yellowing.

Spectrophotometers and controlled multi-light-source light boxes (D65, TL84, UV) analyse even the slightest shade variations for precise pass/fail reporting. Beyond testing, the lab supports production teams with shade matching, dye recipe development, and process troubleshooting. We conduct AQL-based pre-shipment inspections, buyer-specific quality audits, and appearance-after-wash evaluations, giving customers complete confidence in every shipment.

Equipment & Capabilities

The core machinery and technology powering our lab operations.

Spectrophotometer

Datacolor spectrophotometer measuring wavelength-dependent absorption and reflection, provides precise colour coordination data, shade matching, and quantitative pass/fail reporting.

Tensile Strength Tester

Universal testing machine measuring the maximum load fabric can support before breaking, also tests tear strength, seam slippage, and elongation at break.

Wash Fastness Tester

Gyrowash and laundr-o-meter evaluating colour fastness to washing at various temperatures, simulating real-world laundering conditions for accurate fade prediction.

Martindale Abrasion Tester

Pilling and abrasion resistance testing, fabric subjected to controlled friction cycles to predict long-term surface durability and appearance retention.

GSM Cutter & Balance

Precision circular cutter and analytical balance for fabric weight verification.GSM (grams per square metre) is a critical specification in every buyer order.

Light Box

Multi-source light box with D65 (daylight), TL84 (store lighting), and UV illuminants, for visual colour assessment under the conditions where fabric will actually be viewed.
