Lamination and Back Coating Line

Flame lamination, hot melt adhesive, and calendering bonding lines, bonding fabric to foam, film, and other substrates for waterproof, blackout, and thermal insulation applications.

Lamination and Back Coating Line Overview

Lamination and Back Coating Line Department

Our lamination and back coating line bonds multiple fabric layers or applies functional coatings to achieve waterproofing, blackout, thermal insulation, or structural rigidity. Flame lamination uses a controlled flame to melt open-cell foam, which becomes the bonding agent between fabric layers, creating a clean, adhesive-free bond. Hot melt lamination applies thermoplastic adhesive (ground to 60-200 micron particles) from an engraved roller at 250 °C or above in a precise, predetermined pattern.

Our calendering unit feeds fabric and bonding material through a series of heavy rollers under controlled heat and pressure, ensuring a consistent bond across the full width. Back coating applies functional compounds via roller systems, used for blackout curtain linings, upholstery backing, mattress protector barriers, and automotive textiles. The flexibility of four bonding methods allows us to serve a wide range of performance requirements from a single line.

Equipment & Capabilities

The core machinery and technology powering our lamination and back coating line operations.

Flame Lamination

Controlled flame melts open-cell foam into a bonding agent, creating adhesive-free fabric-to-foam lamination with excellent drape and breathability.

Hot Melt Coating

Thermoplastic adhesive applied from engraved rollers at 250 °C+ in predetermined patterns, for waterproof barriers and multi-layer bonding.

Calendering Unit

Heavy roller system applying controlled heat and pressure for fabric smoothing, bonding, and surface finishing across the full fabric width.

Back Coating Line

Roller-based coating for applying blackout linings, thermal backings, and barrier compounds to curtain, upholstery, and mattress fabrics.

Production Process

How material moves through our lamination and back coating line department, from start to finish.

01

Fabric Preparation

Base fabric inspected and loaded onto the lamination line with tension control.

02

Bonding / Coating

Lamination or coating applied using the selected method, flame, hot melt, or adhesive.

03

Curing

Bonded fabric passed through heat chambers for adhesive curing and bond strength development.

04

Inspection & Rolling

Finished fabric inspected for bond quality, coating uniformity, and rolled for dispatch.
