Bleaching Plant

Continuous preparation line running desizing, scouring, hydrogen peroxide bleaching, and caustic mercerizing, transforming raw greige fabric into a clean, absorbent, bright white base ready for dyeing or finishing.

Bleaching Plant Overview

Bleaching Plant Department

Preparation, also known as pre-treatment, is the critical series of treatment and rinsing steps that determine the quality of all subsequent dyeing, printing, and finishing. Our plant runs a continuous process: desizing removes the starch and sizing agents applied during weaving that add stiffness but block dye penetration. Scouring uses alkali-based agents to break down natural impurities, dirt, grease, wax, and residual spinning lubricants. Hydrogen peroxide bleaching then achieves uniform whiteness without the harshness of chlorine-based methods.

Mercerizing is the final optional but critical step, cotton fabric is treated with concentrated caustic soda under tension for approximately one minute, then washed under controlled conditions to prevent shrinkage. This process enhances fabric lustre, increases tensile strength by up to 25%, and dramatically improves dye uptake, producing a fabric base with superior whiteness, absorbency, and dimensional stability.

Equipment & Capabilities

The core machinery and technology powering our bleaching plant operations.

Desizing Unit

Enzymatic and oxidative desizing for complete removal of starch and sizing agents, restoring fabric absorbency for effective downstream processing.

Scouring Range

Alkali-based scouring chambers that break down natural oils, waxes, dirt, and residual spinning lubricants from the fibre without damaging cellulose structure.

Bleaching Chambers

Hydrogen peroxide bleaching for uniform whiteness and brightness, controlled concentration, temperature, and dwell time ensure consistent results without fibre degradation.

Mercerizing Unit

Caustic soda treatment under tension, increases tensile strength up to 25%, enhances lustre, and dramatically improves dye uptake for richer, more uniform colour in subsequent dyeing.
